I have been a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist for 30 years at Ashford & St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust. I have practised at The Runnymede and The Princess Margaret Hospital during this period.
During my career I have sat on National Guideline Committees and the Education Committee of the Royal College of Physicians. I have been the Chairman of the National Association of Clinical Tutors representing all Clinical Tutors and Directors of Postgraduate Medical Education in the UK. I also sat on a government committee called SCOPME which gave advice to the Department of Health about postgraduate medical education.
I was the first Medical Director of Ashford Hospital and more recently have been the Divisional Director for Acute Medicine and Emergency Services at the Trust.
I managed undergraduate medicine at the Trust for over 20 years.
