Dr Neil Ikin joined us in March 2015. He is a gastroenterologist with an interest in functional gut disorders. Neil has a PhD in rational drug design. Neil graduated from St Bartholomew’s Medical School and principally trained around the North West of London. His interest in neurogastroenterology stemmed from his time as an SpR at St Mark’s Hospital in Harrow. During this time he began to perform both upper and lower GI physiology. Before moving to Ashford and St Peters, Neil was a consultant for several years at The Homerton University Hospital in North East London where he ran the neurogastroenterology service. In 2014 Neil became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He has a keen interest in teaching and has also operated as IT lead at his previous Trust.

Motility disorders of the oesophagus Upper and lower GI Physiology, including reflux testing Gastroscopy and colonoscopy General GI out and in-patients to include inflammatory Bowel Disease, hepatology, upper, lower and hepatobiliary cancers.
