Cataracts

Epsomedical group has been specialising in cataract surgery in Surrey for over 10 years keeping waiting lists in the Epsom area well below national averages. The process involves an outpatient consultation with the specialist, a pre-assessment for fitness for surgery and a biometric examination by specialist nurses, usually all carried out on the same day. The cataract operation itself will take about 30 minutes, and patients should expect to stay at the unit for 2-2 1/2 hours

• All patients will be operated on by a consultant grade surgeon.
• All patients receive the top of the range lens implant.
• We aim to correct the first eye within 10 weeks of a patient being referred, and the second eye, if applicable, 4 weeks later.
